The Training
- Do I need to complete the course in one sitting?
No. You can take the course in sections. Just be sure to leave off at the end of a unit, following the "Congratulations" page, in order for the system to mark that unit completed.
If you logout in the middle of a unit, you will have to start that unit again from the beginning when you return to the course.
- Can I take a course more than once?
No. Once you complete a course, it will be removed from your account and you will no longer have access.
- Can I download the course or get a copy on DVD?
No. This course runs online only in order to track a user's progress.
- What documentation is available once a person has completed a training course?
Once a person completes a course, he or she will be offered a simple transcript that can be printed and put in the person's employment file. An official Certificate of Completion is also offered. For $9.95 (shipping and handling included), you can purchase a certificate suitable for framing.
- I cannot get the course to load. Why?
The computer you are using may not have Javascript and/or the latest version of Flash Player. It may also have cookies disabled. See the Technical Requirements page of this FAQ section.
- I am taking a course and cannot click forward to the next slide. What might be the problem?
Some slides require the user to move the mouse over a button to view text and then click that button to view a graphic or animation. On these pages, you must rollover and click each button before the "Next" button is enabled. Some Internet connections will be slower than others so if a graphic or animation doesn't appear when you click the button give it some time to load, without moving the mouse off the button.
- A slide in the course indicates I need to click a button to view an element but nothing happens when I click it. Why might this be?
Some Internet connections run slower than others. When you click the button give it time for the illustration to load. Also, don't move your mouse after you have clicked the button. Moving the mouse may disengage the function before the illustration loads.

- What is the difference between the Clerks' Course and the Managers' Course?
Both courses consist of four units covering the security elements used on credit cards, cash, checks and IDs, as well as how to spot fakes. Both also cover the best practices to use when handling transactions.
The Managers' Course contains two additional units that go into greater detail on credit card transactions and fraud. It also gives critical insight into avoiding unnecessary credit fees and penalties.
